The "Penelle" (or Pennelus) was a mausoleum or, more specifically a rural "stack". Two marble sarcophagi were found there.

It is a massive, truncated pyramid shaped construction of 8 metres high with a rectangular base, located in the village of La Penne-sur-Huveaune.

It dates back to the end of the 1st century BC.

This unique monument was registered on 12 July 1886 at France’s Inventory of Historic Monuments.
