Reopening of the "Petit monde de Marcel Pagnol"
from 15th September 2018 in the "Atelier
Thérèse Neveu".

Inaugurated in 1995- at the very same place where lived and worked the "santon-maker" Thérèse Neveu (1866-1946)- the Atelier Thérèse Neveu was originally a showroom dedicated to santons and ceramics, a real window of the secular activity related to clay, in the territory of the Pays d'Aubagne et de l'Étoile.

In July 2014, it became the "Cité de l'Art Santonnier, Thérèse Neveu" (Art of santon-making) museum, showing visitors the local historical or contemporary workshops production of santons. Revealing the techniques behind the production of the clay figurines, as well as their touching and eventful history and story...

In 2018, the museum closed in order to carry out the necessary works for the installation of the "Petit Monde de Marcel Pagnol".

On 15th September 2018, the Atelier Thérèse Neveu will reopen and the new "Petit monde de Marcel Pagnol" will be unveiled next to the santons created by Thérèse Neveu.
In this new location, the clay figurines from the "Petit Monde" will benefit from a more modern and more attractive scenography.
A new tour of the museum will be suggested, completed by an interactive terminal for tourist information and a new shop.
